Welcome to our Site!

We’re super excited to be launching our brand new website this month, and let me tell you it’s been a journey getting here. Bangel PR got off the ground in 2009 as a bit of a happy accident and we’ve come a long way since then. Guided by the ever incredible force that is Cat Bangel we’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients over the years, telling incredible stories and helping small businesses, not-for-profits and local clients get their message out.

In that time the landscape of media relations and PR has shifted quite significantly. With broadcast companies devoting fewer and fewer resources to local news coverage, we had to figure out how we could help our clients tell their stories without leaning so heavily on the media. Although traditional earned media is still a big component of our strategy for clients we have spent the last five years really fine tuning our skills as internal brand journalists, helping tell stories online through video, blogs, websites, e-newsletters and on social media, and we think our new site really reflects all of the incredible content we’ve had the opportunity to create in that time.

We are passionate about supporting all of the causes, business and events that call Edmonton home and we are so happy to have worked with some incredible partners to bring this new site to life. We’d like to offer some giant kudos to our graphic designer Kelli Brunton who led the visual design of our rebrand and the development of our brand new, and super beautiful logo. We’d also like to thank of course our incredible web developer Kait Schmidek who with her patience, excellent project management and beautiful design work helped bring the vision of our new site to life.

A massive part of the visual component of our site is all thanks to the always beautiful photography of Teresa Bolinski, who truly captured the essence of our spirit over a few shoots at the The Creative Hive. We’d also like to give a shoutout to Chad K Productions who not only came to stand in on shoot day at the hive but is a familiar face to many of our clients, behind the lens of many shoots over the past year. Also to our client and the owner of Simply Supper Monita Chapman, thanks so much for lending a hand and modeling for us in several of the shots throughout our site.

Finally, to all of the clients who have made each event, video, blog, newsletter, training session and social media content calendar possible, we thank you for your continued support, inviting us into your building and onto your teams – none of this would be possible without any of you so thank you.
